Arieland Library!
Most of the things on this page I wrote in my free time (which, unfortunatly, I have a lot of).   Check it out!  I finally got the deleted song lyrics up!  As Howard Ashman and Alan Menken wrote the songs, they brainstormed different songs and different lyrics to songs before they found the ones they liked best.  Sometimes this resulted in lyrics being changed (such as in "Part of Your World") and other times it resulted in entire songs being dropped out for new ones (such as "Silence is Golden" dropped for "Poor Unfortunate Souls).  All of these songs can be found in the collection "The Music Behind the Magic."  All unreleased song lyrics and versions are sung (quite well) by Howard Ashman and Alan Menken.  If you ever see it, I strongly order, err, suggest you buy it, seeing as how production on it has stopped and copies of it are rare now.  C'est tres bien.

Yes, it's just what you think it is.  This would've replace the version contained in the movie.  Personally, I prefer this one
Part
of Your
World
This is an earlier version of the song contained in the movie.  I like the movie version better.
Part
of Your
World
Reprise
This version is a LOT more depressing than the one in the movie, but I like it.
Silence
is
Golden
I think this should have been in the movie, but instead it was dropped for Pour Unfortunate Souls.  I'm much more fonder of this song.  Not saying Pour Unfortunate Souls is bad, of course.  :)
Pour
Unfortunate
Souls
This is simply an earlier version of the song contained in the movie.
My Writings
The
Myth
of
Ariel
This was writen for my original idea for a homepage, "The Temple of Ariel."  When I decided I didn't like that, I changed it to Arieland.  The myth talks about how Ariel becomes the Goddess of True Love.  It didn't turn out as good as I hoped,  but I've never been good at the editing process, so... oh, well.  Maybe I'll rewrite it later.
Triton's
Youngest
Daughter
I wrote this to enter "Ariel's Secret Grotto's" Fan Fiction contest.  I won third place and not only earned that nifty picture (which has been shrunk for size), but also a Little Mermaid sticker book!  Long live "Ariel's Secret Grotto!"  The story's cut short; I guess I was just running short of ideas.  And, if you read "The Little Mermaid Treasury," my story contradicts what a story in there says.  But, my story came first, so nya!
Beauty
and the
Little
Mermaid
I wrote this for my English class and the teacher really liked it.  It's the only essay I've ever written that I brainstormed, edited, and re-edited.  It's a comparison and contrastment of Belle and Ariel.
Her
This is a first-person perception of the day after Ariel rescued Eric from the shipwreck.  It's from Eric's point-of-view and tells how Eric knew that Ariel, from the first day they met, was the one for him.

(Text Version)

This is pretty self-explanatory.  Compiled by Corey Johanningmeier (not me).  This takes a long time to load because it's in HTML (but don't ask me why).

The text version loads quite a bit faster.  I included both, just because Arieland is all about choice!  : )

Poetry
Following is a collection of all the poems I have written conviently organized into three separate categories:  Happy Poems, dealing with hope, love, and, well, happiness; Sad poems, dealing with despair, disappointment, and, well, imhappiness; and poems that either don't fit into either category, or I'm not really sure where to put them.
Once Upon A Happy Day Collection of, guess what, happy poems!  Yeah!
A Dark Ray of Despair Could these be sad poems?   Sniff, sniff.  Yep. :(
Unknown Tomarrow Gee, what's left.  I don't know.  No, really.  I don't know.
